- There is a holy well in Denn, and it is called "St. Brigid's Well" People still visit it.
There is a story told about this well. About one hundred years ago, there lived a rector and his son beside the well. One night a flag was put beside the well to (commerate) commemorate the Saint.
But the rector's son got up during the night and broke the flag down.
When he came back he went into a little house where nobody lived and he shot himself.
A drop of his blood fell on the floor. The blood stayed on the floor for years and the people talked about it. At last the rector got the house knocked down and rebuilt and a new floor put in. But the blood stain went back into the same place in the new floor, and can be seen yet in Denn.- Bailitheoir
