who used to cart were Philip Cahill who was my grandfather and Thomas Owens. These men carted flour for Mrs Donnelly the owner of a large bakery in Cavan at that time. My grandfather Philip Cahill resided in the townland of Corhoogan and Thomas Ownes lived in the townland of Oldtown.
Another Carter was James Brady, who resided in the townland of Reaske. This carter carted tobacco leaves from the quays in Dublin, for two tobacco factories in Cavan.
