It was from this stoney land, that the townland derived its name. The crops which the farmers grow are potatoes, oats, wheat, mangolds, and turnips. The animals which are kept on the farm are, cows, calves, horses, and ponies. The calves are sold when about a year old. Most of the farmers sent their sweet milk to the creamery. The poultry which they keep are hens, ducks, geese and turkeys.
