Ar an leathanach seo

  1. An old man who died last year tells the story. When he was a young man he lived a short distance from the road and he had a habit of going out as far as the road every night before he would go to bed just in his sleeve-waist coat. This night he went and when coming back he heard voices and looked round. Just then two fellows came over the fence, "Good night John" said they. "Good night my man" said I. "Will you come to a dance John" before I had time to say anything I was away in a whirl over ditches and hedges till we came to a hill. I saw a little house in the hallow with lights. They said "stay here John till we get the fiddler".
    I sat down and felt tired and in no time I was asleep. When I woke up I could not know where I was . I got up and went over a field and where was I but in Bundoran. I was walking around not knowing how I could get back, I had no money. I got hungry and went to a house. The woman gave me tea. The Militia was in camp at Ballyshannon at the time. They were people from Ballinagh. They were knocking about one said whats wrong with you John or what has you here. I told my story so they
