    covered with slates.
    The Dumb lake.
    It is situated in the townland of Portnaquin. This lake is the shape of a circle. There is a little stream draining it. It is silent and it is therefore called the Dumb Lake.
    The Peelers Well.
    It is situated on the side of a hill, beside the Cavan road. A man by the name of Peeler lived beside it. So that is how it got it's name.
    The three sisters.
    These are three huge trees. They are on the side of the avenue east of the farmyard at Castle Ham-
