- Local CuresIn former times the people sought remedies for their ailments from local men and women who were supposed to have cures or charms. When bones were broken, in accidents people were brought to a man called the Bone- Setter who put the bones back in their places and bandaged the limb tightly. It soon got as well as ever. This bone- Setter was in great demand through the country. After people had the cure of the sprain. When the country people sprained their legs or arms they went to this person who had the cure and after certain prayers were said the sprained part was bandaged.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
