So one morning he found them all dried up and these new wells sprung up in their place. Taghart lake is a small lake that stands at the foot of Taghart. There is another lake not far from Taghart called Loughanlea. Long ago there was a lake on the top of this mountain and if people took sick they could be cured by drinking the water but one day a man's dog took sick and he bathed it in the water and after that the lake disappeared.Rose Mooney, Northland, Shercock.Told by Brigid Mooney, Northlands, Shercock.
