- Long ago there was a woolen mill below at the vale. It is down the Cavan road near hand Bailieboro. It was called Simpson's mil. The people reared sheep and sent the wool to mill to be manufactured into wool or tweed.
People bought the tweed and made clothes from it. It was good tweed they made. There are hundreds of people working in it. There was a shop at it also. My grand-mother was often in the shop. The wooln cloth was sold at 2/s per yard. It began to go down about the year 1908.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
