- There are three tailors in this district. They do not go around as in former times, they work in their homes.
Some tailors stock cloth and others do not. The shopkeepers stock the cloth from the factory and they sell it to the people. Some years ago there was a factory situated near Bailieboro called the Vale Mills. The farmers of the district brought wool to this factory and got it manufactured into tweed.
The instruments the tailor uses are the machine, the iron, the scissors, the thimble, and the tape. The tailor sits on the bench when he is sewing. The iron the tailor uses is called a goose. He(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
