Long ago when the bride would becomming home to her house the husband would bring her on a horse's back in front of him and they would go over hedges and ditches to be at the house first to get a bottle of whiskey.
Some people get married in the house, and some of them get married i the church. There was a man called Mr Clements who lives in Cootehill and he got married in the house.
When the man is bringing home the bride the people tie an old boot or an old shoe on the car for them to have good luck. On the feast day there is a weddon cake and all the people get a piece of the cake that are the feast. The Roman Catoliss and some of the Protesants have a belief which is that the(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
