Salt and flour are mixed with them
After this the contents of the basin are put on a board and rolled with a rolling pin and made into "farrells"
Every four farrells are put into the oven at a time and baked. Oatmeal bread is also made. The oatmeal is put in a basin and boiling water put on it. It is mixed and rolled with a pin
It is then baked on a griddle before the fire. - The different kinds of bread used in my district are wheaten, oaten, potato, boxty and barm-bread(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
