Ar an leathanach seo
- In my district there are some old crafts still in existence but quite a number have fallen into misuse. The following is a list of the old crafts:- "dulling" rabbits, spearing fish, netting rabbits, "dulling" trout, hooking wild duck, making rush candles making wines and poteen.
The rabbits are snared or as it is locally called "dulled" with fine brass wire. There are about four ply of wire twisted tightly together in each snare. The person who sets the snares looks for the rabbit's "pad", and sets them "between the hops" on the grass. The are set about four inches from the ground and supported by a little twig.
