  1. My home district comprises part of the parish of Laragh.
    It embraces all of upper Tullyinchin.
    The townland of Tullyinchin is known as upper Tullyinchin and lower Tullyinchin.
    The Cavan - Shercock road separates the upper part from the lower.
    The part of the town south-east of this road is known as upper Tullyinchin and the part north-west of it is called lower Tullyinchin.
    Twenty families reside in my home district and it has a population of of about ninety six people.
    Shields in the most common family name in my home district.
    The majority of its houses are two storied thatched houses.
    In upper Tullyinchin there are five person who are over seventy years of age.
    They all speak English and they do not know any Irish.
    They do tell stories in either Irish or english.
