- One of the most harmful plants on the farm is the docken. On a windy day the seeds of the docken are blown over the ground and in a few days the ground is all covered with a bed of dockens.
Another harmful plant is rag-weed or bufflin[?] It is harmful because it spreads rapidly and also soaks the good out of the soil and leaves it poor.
Hoar-hound is another harmful weed. It also soaks the good out of the soil and leaves it poor.
There are certain herbs and roots which have medicinal qualities, for instance nettles, black heads, dockens(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
