- A story is told of a man coming home from a fair late at night. He was drawing Indian meal from Drogheda with a horse and cart. He heard a whistle and for company’s sake he said get into the cart. The whistling got in but no man. When he got home he nearly died with fright. The horse nearly died also.A story is told about a father and mother who went to the market and left their young family house-keeping. They did not arrive home until late at night. When they came in sight of the house they saw the house brightened up with light. The children had no way of making light and they wondered what had happened. When they got into the house to their surprise they found the children fast asleep.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
