  1. Devils Rocks: - Situated about 1/4 ml out Station Rd from Cootehill and in the field opposite the Rectory gate. The field belongs to a man called Connolly. It was said that people saw the mark of the devil's foot in the rocks.
    Beggars Rocks:- Situated on the outskirts of the town just between the New Technical School and Hannas Cross. The Technical School is on the north side of Cootehill on Monaghan Rd. There is a path 6 ft or 7 ft wide beside the road. The path is about 8 ft high at the highest and slopes at each end to the road level.
    This path is made of rock. Beggars used to encamp on these rocks or path.
    Bone Cross:- Situated at the top of Church St, Cootehill. There is a ditch there sometimes called Bone Ditch. It is said there was a war there and that the bones were buried. It is almost opposite an old Quaker burial ground.
    Round Bush. A very round thorn bush growing in the New Line.
    New Line: A new road made about 15 years ago to connect the top of Church St and Station Rd to make a short cut for people going to mass
