    The leprechaun is about two feet in height and he wears red coat and green breeches. He wears turned up shoes and these are fastened with silver buckles. He wears no cap.
    There are many stories told about the leprechaun. He is usually a cobbler and is to be seen sitting under a mushroom making boots. He is supposed to have a purse of gold. When people catch him they have to keep their eyes on him or he gets away from them. Here is a story I often heard my father tell to people.
    One morning a girl named Biddy Fagan was going to the well for a gallon of water. The well was near to a place were the ruins of some old castle was. She was humming a tune to herself as she went along and she was too lucky
