  1. At home there is (are), horses, cows, pigs, geese, turkeys, calves, hens, ducks, dogs, cats, sheep and goats
The cows have names such as Smiler, Specky, Blackie, Daisy. When we are driving cows we say, "Chey," Chey" and calves, "suckey, suckey." The house where the cows are tied is called a byre. They are tied with chains round their necks to stakes.
There is a stand for every cow and a place where we put the fodder is called a manger. We keep the horses in a stable in the Winter time but in Summer they are out grazing. They are tied round the neck with a strap and some of them are tied with a head-stall.
We clip them in the month of December with horse-clippers.
We get them shod every four months with the blacksmith.
We give them hay, oats, meal and water. The sheep are always out
