    If the wind was blowing from the East on the 1st of November it is the sign of hard dry weather. If you saw the swallows flying low it is the sign of rain. If you saw the mountains that were far away were very near its the sign of rain. If you saw a halo around the moon it is the sign of rain. If you saw the moon very bright it is the sign of frost.
    If you saw a cat with back to the fire it is the sign of rain.
