There is still another superstition as to what kind of clothes the Bride wears at the Marriage. It is said green is an unlucky colour and blue is lucky. There is a little rhyme as to the kind of clothes she should wear. Here it is.
"Something borrowed,
Something blue,
Something old,
And something new."
Long ago marriages used to take place in the houses but now they do not. It is also said that long ago the men used to bring their wives behind them on the horses. So ends my Béaloideas.
