Buying and selling.Shops were not plentiful long ago There was an odd shop here and there through the country.These were called "she-beens ".They used to sell tobacco, soap and potteen.The people used all be drunk from drinking potteen .

They used exchange think as money was not plentiful .They had sovereigns ,half sovereigns, four -shilling pieces,and four -penny pieces .There was very little money spent on clothes.
