    Out near Caherbane there is a place called the valley of the black pig. Long ago the old people used to hide their gold there in large quantities. This night three men went digging for the gold. They were very near the gold when a fierce animal with chains came on the scene roaring. They had to leave their picks and shovels there and run away or they would be killed. The next day they came and the hole was covered. The next night they tried but the same animal came. There is gold in that place since.
