The Old Country Houses.
Long ago the houses were not built the same way as the houses we have now. There were not any slated houses that time. They were lovely and thatched.
They were usually thatched with wheaten straw. They were built with clay and mud.Sometimes the people mixed feathers and the hair if animals with the mud. When the mud was dry it was as hard as a brick.
They had not any timber or flag floors. They were also made of mud. There was a large flag in front of the fire ,and it was called "the flag of the fire". On each(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Faisnéiseoir
