When the men are going into the fair-green in this village they have no tolls to pay. The buyers come early in the morning. When the men have the cattle sold to the buyer he spits on his hand and they both shake hands. Then the bargain is made. Out of every beast the buyers buy he gets a luck-penny for it.
On the 20th of December all the boys go around and ask the men at the fair for money. They call this their "Fairings".
