  1. Some years ago a graveyard in Loughane near Blarney removed up a high hill to a place called Mathey. On its way it crossed the Shournaght river. One of the headstones fell into the river and it is there to be seen still As it was removing in the middle of the night a man on horseback coming from Cork saw it and both he and the horse died. It removed because there was a 'bad' man buried there and it was his headstone that fell into the river.
