- In the penal times the people were very much persecuted. They were not allowed to keep even a potato garden, and the most of the people were starving with the hunger.
At this time the priests were not allowed to say Mass. There is a blessed Bush on the Uria Hill where the priests used to say Mass at this time. If anyone saw a Priest saying Mass and to tell the English about it they would get a lot of money for it. Then they- Collector
