    Roinn Roinn Postáil
    In the years 1847 and 1848 a great blight came over all Ireland. The population was then 8 million. It was indeed a black famine and was followed by a famine fever when the Irish people died by the hundred each day. A big grave was dug and the people were all flung in buried together.
    They also emigrated by the thousand to America and Australia and then tried to send all the help they could to their poor relations at home. The Government got relief
