- In the Village of Glendaligan there is an old road known as the Máma road. This road runs from Curraheen to Kilbrien. It is situated in a very lonesome place, there are bleak mountains on both sides of it.
There are many curious stories connected with this road. The following was told to me a few days ago.
One night a few years ago two men were returning from Waterford city. About four miles from their house on this road which I have mentioned, one of them observed a man walking at the horse's head, the other man did not see it at all.
The strange man disappeared after a quarter of an hour. When the man got off the cart, the horse's head was turned to one side, and it was at my house that they got a horse to take them for their own horse was not able to go any further.
About two years later the same two me were going out this road and the back-band was taken off the cart by unseen(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
