    In an old dreary cabin:
    Sat a grey haired old Father
    His head [been?] in sorrow
    His eyes full of tears;
    He was thinking that night.
    On the light hearted cáilin:
    Who fled from her old home
    In long by gone years
    O Kathleen Mavoureen why did
    you roam
    to the land of the stranger
    Far over the foam
    I have riches and wealth
    But no one to share them
    The old man exclaimed in a
    heart broken voices;
    Twas my curse that brought
