    He seldom lived in it himself except to come on visits. His affairs were managed by a steward. He had about twenty men working for him and when he left these twenty became tenants He was a very generous man and very kind to his tenants. He gave a present of a bottle of wine and a cake to his men every Christmas.

  2. There are various roads around my district namely, The mail coach road is the main road from Dublin to Sligo. The Mohill road from Dromod corner to Mohill Derrycarne road from Faltass Bridge and branches out to the main road at Annaduff Chapel.
    The mail coach road was so called because the mail coach ran on it long ago, Geelaris Dromod was the headquarters for the mail coaches.
