- The old people used to eat oat-meal bread. They used to bake the bread along by the fire leaned against two sods of turf. They also used to eat boxty and Indian-meal bread.
- In olden times the people used to eat very rough food. They used to eat potatoes and milk and butter; oat-meal bread, indian meal bread, and boxty.
They used to get some tea at christmas but would not use it only on christmas night.
