This was a terrible country for evictions long ' go, especially down the Geevagh side, an indeed alot o' them washt'nt carried out in the most humane way either.It was said at wan time, tould for the thruth in fact that there was a poor ould woman, an' a wida-woman at that livin' wit her six childre an wan o' the Geevagh eshtales. I won't say which wan now, for it might be betther ta lave very well alone, especially in a case like that.
But anyway this wida woman was to be evicted for not payin the rent, an' the landlord himsel came to the house to see that there was no merely shown to her.
