39. A cure for consumption - A plant known as rosenoble should be obtained and left out until it withers. When withered it should be boiled and juice drunk. - A man goes for the cows this morning and he saw a hare between the cows legs taking the milk. He had a loaded gun an' he fired and hi the hare in the heel. The hare ran away an' he followed the track of the blood that was streaming out of the heel. He tracked her to ould walls (ruins) and an ould woman was inside crying "Oh me feel, me heel! I'm dyin, Im' dyin". "May the devil cure you" says the man "ye should be dead long ago". The hare was an ould hag that could take the shape to steal her neighbours milk.(continues on next page)
