  1. Dyeing clothes is very seldom done nowadays in Ireland. Long ago it was one of their greatest trades.
    There was not any dye that time like there is now. Instead dyeing was done with coppras and logwood.
    There was a dyer in this village, Carras long ago A woman dyed clothes in a big pot called a boiler.
    Nearly every person in the neighbour brought clothes to her to be dyed.
    First, this woman went to the market. There she bought "coppras" and "logwood". Logwood and Coppas were sold by the pound.Next she boiled water in the boiler.
