The names of the meals were breakfast, dinner and supper. The people used to eat their breakfast at nine o'clock and their supper at six o'clock in the evening. They used to have to go out to work before their breakfast. And when the breakfast would be ready they would be called in. They used to have porridge for their breakfast and supper and potatoes for their dinner. There was no tea at that time. They used to have the table against the wall.
They used to eat oaten meal bread long ago. The people used to eat fish long ago. They used to buy the fish in the shops. They used(continues on next page)
