- (continued from previous page)in honour of St. Bridget. A second time the man of the house goes out and finds another bundle of rushes. He brings them into the house, and the practise is continued in the same way for three times. Then the rosary is recited and afterwards the rushes are weaved into crosses by each one of the household. Then the crosses are hung up in various places in the house and outoffices until the feast occurs the next year. Then the old crosses are taken down and new ones replace them.(continues on next page)
