    He had a Kerry cow that had three calves each year for eight year. One day the cow got sick. The man tried every cure available but it was no use. At that time many wonderful cures for cattle were wrought at the holy well in Loughkeeran.
    One day the man drove his cow to the well, hoping that he too might get a cure for he. He brought the cow out into the marshy land beside the well, but before he had time to say the necessary prayers at the well the cow sank into the swamp,
