  1. There are three tailors in the parish. They live in Bangor Erris. Their names are Anthony Barrett, James Barrett and Edward Carey. They do not go from house to house. They usually work at home. It is not usuall for a tailor to have clothes in the house to sell. He does not make any clothes until they are measured for.
    There are not many spinning wheels in the place. Some of the people knit their stockings.
