  1. Lisnagree was so called because there is a liss there. The liss consists of a heap of stones built up. There is a haw tree growing on top of it. People tried to fall it and they could not.
    Carrigane is so called because there is a big rock in the place.
    Inchanleamy is so called because a woman jumped across the inch. The womans name was Betty Brennan. It is said she was an old hag and that she was running from the soldiers.
