    A castle ws being built on the south side of the river and a f oreman mason and his workmen were employed building . A man , who was unknown in the district , came one day and asked the forman mason for work. The foreman laughed in a mocking way and said he had no work for such as he , because all skilled workmen were required for the work.
    It was just at at the dinner hour, so the foreman and his workmen went to dinner.
    When they came back, they found chiselled on the corner stone of the castle a cat and nine tails. The forman , seeing the wonderful work , knew it
