  1. St Lawrence's Manor, now the residence of Captain Harty, was once a Leper Hospital.
    A man named Wilcox once lived there. It was he who informed the British authorities of the Emmet rising. There was a gallows tree near the house, and it is said that people were executed there. Since Captain Harty has taken over the place, he got the tree cut down.
