    buried there was a Mrs Gorey. The graveyard was closed when she died but her son and another man broke through the fence and buried her there. They were fined heavily for this. There are many trees surrounding the graveyard and grass and weeds have now grown up on it.
    The church in the cemetery is said to be the first church in Ireland to be prayed for in Rome and hence the name Oldchurch.`
