    The poisonous plant Hemlock grows in large quantities in this district. It is sometimes eaten by cattle. An effort, only partially successful, has been made to eradicate this pest.
    Note
    The information in the book refers to the district of Lough Eske only. The Parish of Lough Eske is really part of the old parish of Killymard.
    The stories are general among the people and they have head these things all their lives.
