Queen was very angry and said that she would kill the fairy cow. The cow told Conn what was going to happen and that when she was killed he was to make a belt out part of her skin, and then go and seek his fortune. Conn went away on his journey without bidding farewell to his stepmother. Now this belt he had made had a peculiar power. He had only to say "Tighten, tighten, belt"! and it would choke the enemy. He conquered several giants, with two and three heads each, who had eaten everything up to that time. Conn became king himself, and lived and ruled happily ever after.
