    Glen making milking time (it was the custom of the people to rise early from 1st May to 1st Sep. to put out the cows to graze and to herd them till 11 oclock, when they were put in to be milked. This was called milking time. This custom shall survives in many parts of the Rosses.)
    This was what the priest was doing when I called. I went down to the Glen and explained my errand to him. He told me help him up with the cows and when he had tied them we went into the uose and while I waited Hannah Brerand the house-keeper got the priest's
