    Most of the places around here have Irish names this is some of them now Baile na Gaoithe, or the town of the wind. Ált an chapail, means the little glen of the horse. Carraig an chait, means the cats rock. Log na Stileadh, or the stilling hollow. Baile cruinn, or the round townland. Baile na sclataí, means the townland of the slates
