   One Halloween night, William Doherty Killourt Malin Head, was on his way home, when he was started by a sudden noise of laughter. Then a tall woman appeared from behind a hill laughing loudly. This woman was a fairy.

   Hugh Doherty, William Doherty's son heard a banshee crying mournfully. It could be heard for far around. Shortly after this his father died. It is said that a banshee crying is a sure sign of a death.
