    Two for joy.
    Three for a girl.
    and four for a boy.
    Five for marriage.
    Six for carriage.
    Seven for silver.
    and eight for gold.
    When a cricket comes to the house, it is the sign of luck.
    It is said that when you are churning if a person comes in he must churn before he goes out for fear he would bring the butter with him.
    If a weasel crosses the road before you it is a sign of good luck.
    If a person walks across you when you are lying down, He must come back across you again or you will never grow.
    If you kill a weasel all the hens will die.
