  1. There is a field in coolmine called the chapel bank Field. Years ago there were several monks there in a monastery. One day some soldiers who were in Lucan fired at Monastery and killed all the monks. They were buried in the field and since then the trees cannot be cut in the field or it cannot be ploughed. There is a headstone there but the writing on it cannot be made out.
