  1. There is an ancient story about this place. Its situation is near the village of Blanchardstown. Embedded in a piece of solid rock are the marks of a man's foot, a horse's and a foal's hoof and a walking stick. Long ago in the penal times a piest used to say mass for the people of this place. He had a horse and a foal which were his only means of conveyance. One morning as he was saying mass a man tried to steal
